Electrical Quantities (Voltage, Charge, Current, Power). Conservation of charge and energy.
Mathematical models of simple devices. Elementary circuit theory for passive elements.
Thévenin's, Norton’s and superposition theorem. Basics of capacitors and inductors. Signal
filtering and amplification. Time and frequency domain. Circuit design and simulation.
Precludes additional credit for ECOR 1052. More information regarding requirements for ECOR 1052,
including minimum required grades.
Prerequisites: This course may not be taken concurrently with ESLA 1300 or ESLA 1500.
Students who have not satisfied the prerequisites for this course must either withdraw from the
course or obtain a prerequisite waiver by visiting the Engineering Undergraduate Academic Support
Office.
